The Ambassador introduced the art collector with the hope of asking artist Nguyen Lai to advise on the appraisal and suggest works to add to his massive collection.

Within the framework of the ASEAN-US Special Summit, Mr. Nguyen Lai, representative of the Ministry of Culture, joined the working delegation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. At the conference, Mr. Lai actively promoted cultural exchanges, especially promoting Vietnamese painting in general and the works of Hanoi artists in particular, to countries in the region and the world. This is an important opportunity for Vietnamese art to reach out, affirming its position and creativity on the global cultural map.

Mr. Nguyen Lai visited the late artist Nguyen Tu Nghiem - one of the legendary quartet "Sang - Lien - Nghiem - Phai" of Vietnamese fine arts at his home and bought some of his paintings for the gallery. Currently, the paintings of the late artist Nguyen Tu Nghiem are being sought after by the art world and have reached record prices, demonstrating his value and lasting influence in the Vietnamese and world fine arts.
